Re: [openss7] OpenSS7 for LMC1200P
Gualtiero,
Actually the LMC1000P is just on our ``proposed'' supported hardware
list. That is to say, these are cards that we were interested in
providing drivers for, primarily because they have open-source drivers
for Linux which can provide a basis for OpenSS7 driver development.
Only the ACB56 is supported at this time (although there is another
person working on a COSA driver). The next drivers I was going to
work on were the PT 388 cards. My ability to write drivers is limited
by the hardware that I have access to. PT has generously offered of
their PT 388 cards for development. I had asked LAN Media if they were
willing to contribute some hardware for development, but nothing has
been forthcoming yet.
If you are interested in developing the driver for the LMC1200 you
are welcome. The lower layers of the STREAMS stack has been designed
to permit binding of channels (Signalling Data Links) and HDLC framers
(Signalling Data Terminals).
If you are interested in us developing a driver for you, we need
access to LMC1200 card(s).
Contact me off line if you wish and we can further discuss your needs.
