[openss7] Request for info!

Hi there!
I am a telecommunication Engineer currerntly working on ss7 stack
development,
I would like to know which material to refer for my step by step building of
ss7 protocol stack,i would also like to know whether i should start with the
tutorials available on-line and then get into rfc's and later into itu-t
specification q.700 to q.709.Is that the way to proceed or am i wrong?
