Conforming Level 2 Code

All,

I have placed the latest development snapshot on the website
on the downloads page ate

    http://www.openss7.org/download.html

The tarred and gzipped file is

    http://www.openss7.org/strss7-0.7.4.tgz

This file contains a working version of the SDL UDP link emulation
(which does not required any hardware to emulate an SS7 link, just
UDP network connection) and STREAMS modules for

    SDL - Signalling Data Link
    SDT - Signalling Data Terminal
    SL - Signalling Link

These implement a fully operational Level 2 driver for the UDP
emaultion and provide a framework for hardware drivers.

The enhancement over the 0.7.2 pre-prelease is a number of bug
fixes to the modules, as well as full Q.781 (ETS 300 336) conformance
testing of the modules. The results can be viewed at

    http://www.openss7.org/strss7/test/log.shaper
    http://www.openss7.org/strss7/test/log.tick

The SDL UDP driver passes 97 of 107 test cases. The remaining
10 test cases are inconclusive as they require the "break Tx" and
potentially octet-counting mode capabilities which the SDL UDP
driver is incapable. It does serve to verify that the state machine
operation of the SDL, SDT and SL modules is correct. Drivers which
provide the same simple functions as the SDL UDP driver can yield
the same level of conformance.

Enjoy!
