All,
I have just placed the OpenSS7 impelemtnation of RFC 2960 SCTP
(Streams Control Transmission Protocol) on the downloads page
at
http://www.openss7.org/download.html
The tarred and gzipped file is
http://www.openss7.org//linux-sctp-0.1.tgz
This file contains a working version of the SCTP protocol stack
for the Linux Kernal (native) and is released as a patch to the
RedHat 2.2.12-20 kernel, but will probably work with similar
kernels.
The release contains a working version of the SCTP protocol
fashioned after Linux NET4 TCP, with full BSD socket support.
This version was tested at the 3rd SCTP Bakeoff at ETSI in
Sophia Antipolis France April 23-27 and demonstrated inter-
operability with a number of large vendor implementations.
This is alpha code: there are still a couple of hangs and crashes
which will occur under stange circumstances, however, the code
is relatively stable for straightforward SCTP association
establishment and teardown. The stack supports multihoming and
all major SCTP features.
A manual page is included, as well as relevant RFCs and drafts.
Also included are the test programs and some Ethereal dumps
from the testing at ETSI.
Comments and contributions are welcome!
We expect to release an SCTP for LiS STREAMS version in a
number of days which provides TPI/XTI support for SCTP under
LiS STREAMS. This will be the basis of our SUA, M3UA, M2UA
and M2PA implementations which will be compatible with the
OpenSS7 MTP L3 and L2 implementations under STREAMS.
Enjoy!
