Re: [openss7] Roadmap of M2UA

Thomas,

The ETA for the entire SIGTRAN stack working in conjunction with
the OpenSS7 stack for both SG and ASP is July 31, 2001.

This will include an LiS STREAMS version of the the OpenSS7
stack for SS7, include MTP Level 2, Level 3, and SCCP. SIGTRAN
components for LiS STREAMS will include SCTP (based closely on
our Linux Kernel implementation which is already available), the
next version of the M2PA draft, M2UA-09, M3UA-07 or 08 when
available, SUA-06.

As I'm sure you are aware, these protocols are only available in
draft version and have not been given official RFC status by the
IETF as yet. I understand that M2UA is approaching WG last call
and may advance to RFC status within the next several months.
We intend to take our M2UA implementation to the M2UA bake-off
when plans for a bake-off become known.

All components of the SIGTRAN and OpenSS7 stack will be
available under GNU Public License Version 2. If you are
interested in other licensing terms contact me directly.
