Currently the OpenSS7 development project is a project looking for a web-site. The OpenSS7 project does not have any needs which are drastically different from other opensource development project. Its needs are as follows:
We are currently looking for a sponsor to host the OpenSS7 development project on their web site, and to obtain an organizational domain name for the site (e.g., openss7.org).
We need a web site which permits us suffcient space for holding software release versions and documentation for download.
The hosting web-site must be capable or providing current CVS server capabilities so that a CVS development tree for the sources can be published and provided on the site.
The hosting web-site should provide an rsync server so that the site may be mirrored in interested localitites.
Source code and packages are most easily downloaded using FTP services. The web-site should provide FTP access to the release and documentation directories.
We are also looking for web-sites who are willing to reference or mirror the contents of the OpenSS7 website working directories.
The web site should support a mailing list server so that we can have people subscribe to the OpenSS7 mailing list.
It would be good if we could support a usenet newsgroup for announcements and issues related to SS7 in general and the OpenSS7 project. If the web-site can act as a newsgroup host, that would be advantageous.
