[openss7] OpenSS7 status - structure
Hi there,
I'm working in Switzerland on a little telecom developper firm.
We have a little board, linux embeded, an we plan to offer SS7oIP gateway.
So, for developpements reasons, we are working with an applied science
university. An suddent is on project, to develop the first part of project :
developpement of an application to test functionalities of OpenSS7 stack, on
an normal PC, with acb serial board.
So, we have some troubles to understand our general strucutre of OpenSS7,
please correct me if I'm wrong :
-/ SS7 socket in kernel (PF/AF_SS7, ETH_P_SS7) is an OLD developpement
branch, to integrate SS7 support directy in Kernel
-/ strss7 is the NEW developpement, witch is based on Linux STREAMS code.
-/ acb card is now an STREAMS device.
-/ to implement an SS7oIP gateway, the right way is to use somthing like
test-sdludp.
Thanks for your work !
Best regards
