We haven't been as religious in keeping this section up to date in the last six months or so,
but we will try to keep it updated on a regular basis now.

OpenSS7 today announced release of the openss7 package on
GitHub and
Open HUB.
The complete source code for the openss7 package has been uploaded to GitHub. The
code can be viewed, downloaded and cloned from the
GitHub page.
Also a tracking project has been setup up for the openss7 package on Open HUB.
Detailed analysis of the code can be viewed at the
Open HUB page.
As a result of the source code repository for the openss7 package being uploaded to
GitHub
and a source code tracking page being established at
Open HUB,
the OpenSS7 CVS archive will eventually be discontinued. Subscribers to the CVS archive should change
over to GitHub in coming months.

OpenSS7 today announced Release 1.1.7.20131209 of the openss7 package.
This is the OpenSS7 package. It contains all of the OpenSS7 release code and documentation. This
is the only package currently released by OpenSS7.
This package contains all of the former sub-packages of the OpenSS7 Master Package.
This distribution is applicable to Linux 2.4, 2.6 and 3.x kernels and was targeted at ix86, x86_64,
ppc and ppc64 architectures, but should build and install for other architectures as well.
This is the seventh release of the OpenSS7 package. This is a production release. All existing
validation test suites run clean on supported distributions, production kernels and architectures.
Major features since the last release are as follows:
- Build corrections for RHEL 6.4.
- Scripts for country boundary, shoreline and rivers database preparation.
- Database for ANSI T1.101 point code assignments.
- Suppress extransous /proc/1/comm error messages when testing for systemd.
- Handle PUIAS to Springdale rename for PUIAS distribution.
This is a public stable production grade release of the package: it deprecates previous
releases. Please upgrade to the current release before reporting bugs.
As with other OpenSS7 releases, this release configures, compiles, installs and builds RPMs and DEBs
for a wide range of Linux 2.4, 2.6 and 3.x rpm(8) and dpkg(1) based distributions, and can be used
on production kernels without patching or recompiling the kernel.
This package is publicly released strictly under the GNU Aferro General Public License Version 3;
however, commercial licensing is available. The release is available as an autoconf(1) tarball,
