Hardware Selection Guide

Description: OpenSS7 Hardware Selection Guide.

Many of the cards provided here are either planned, historical or deprecated. For a current card for use with OpenSS7, see the C400P/E Interface Card. For recommendations and reference designs for a system for running OpenSS7, see the Unexicon hardware page, which provides several reference systems, links to distributors, and reference system costs.

CP400P/E Interface Card

The CP400P/E series cards are 1-, 2- and 4-span E1/T1/J1 PCI cards manufactured by Allo. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. These are the most current cards and should be used where possible. These cards are supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

V401P Interface Card

Historical: The V401P card is a 4-span T1 or E1 card manufactured by Varion. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. These cards are harder to find, use the more recent C400P/E cards where possible. These cards are still, however, fully supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

A101/102/104c Interface Card

Historical: The A101/102/104c interface cars are 1-, 2- and 4- span E1/T1/J1 PCI cards manufacturered by Sangoma. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. Use the more recent C400P/E cards were possible. These cards are still, however, supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

V400P Interface Card

Historical: The V400P card is a 4-span T1 or E1 card manufactured by Varion. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. These cards are harder to find, use the more recent Allo cards where possible. These cards are still, however, supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

T/E100P Interface Card

Historical: The T100P and E100P cards are 1- T1 or E1 port PCI cards manufactured by Digium and Varion. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. Use the more recent C400P/E cards were possible. These cards are still, however, fully supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

TE405/410 Interface Card

Deprecated: The TE405 and TE410 cards are 4- E1/T1 PCI cards manufactured by Digium. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. Use the more recent C400P/E cards were possible. These cards are still, however, supported by OpenSS7 drivers.

Tormenta Interface Card

Deprecated: The Tormenta card is a 2-T1 port ISA card manufactured by Zapata Telephony. This section describes the features of these cards for operation with OpenSS7 software. These cards are impossible to find, use the more recent C400P/E cards instead. These cards were never supported by any OpenSS7 driver.

CPC388 Interface Card

Deprecated: CPC388 Interface Card. These cards are no longer supported by any OpenSS7 driver.

CPC396 Interface Card

Deprecated: CPC396 Interface Card. These cards are no longer supported by any OpenSS7 driver.

PCI384 Interface Card

Deprecated: PCI384 Interface Card. These cards are no longer supported by any OpenSS7 driver.

PCA200E Interface Card

Deprecated: PCA200E Interface Card. These cards are no longer supported by any OpenSS7 driver.

ACB56 Interface Card

Deprecated: ACB56 Interface Card. These cards are no longer supported by any OpenSS7 driver.
