This is the SS7 BICC-User Adaptation Layer (BUA) component of the OpenSS7 SIGTRAN stack. This
component implements the BUA functions in a STREAMS multiplexing driver.
The BUA STREAMS driver provides the Call Control Interface (CCI).
The BUA STREAMS driver supports I_LINK and I_PLINK of Call Control Interface (CCI) streams
providing SS7 BICC under the driver (SG operation). It also supports I_LINK and I_PLINK of
Transport Provider Interface (TPI) streams providing Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP)
or other transports under the driver.

The SS7 BICC-User Adaptation Layer (BUA) is an integral part of the OpenSS7 STREAMS SIGTRAN
stack and provides redunancy to the OpenSS7 STREAMS SS7 stack. It can be found in the bua sub-directory in the strss7 release code.
