Kannel Integration

Overview:-	The Kannel product is an Open Source SMS product. Currently Kannel has been lacking in its inability to query SMSC using the SS7 network. This product leverages both the SMSC product above as well as the Kannel work to integarte Kannel into the SMSC. This product focuses on the SCCP and TCAP capabilities of the OpenSS7 stack. It utilizes SUA and TUA for redunancy and reliability and supports TALI integration to Tekelec IP7 and other TALI compliant products.

History:-	This product began in October 2001.

Status:-	This product is in the Proposal stage. This product is stalled. Although there has been some interest from the Kannel Project of late, there is insufficient interest in this product. If you are interested in this product, hit the mailing list.
