Short Message Service Center (SMSC)

Overview:-	The SMSC product provides an SMSC based on the GSM/MAP HLR capabilities of the OpenSS7 stack and other packages such as Kannel. This product provides both an SMSC client (i.e., MSC) as well as SMSC server (i.e., HLR) side. The product provides libraries and extensions for integrating the SMSC with web-enabled services. This product focuses on the SCCP and TCAP capabilities of the OpenSS7 stack. It utilizes SUA and TUA for redunancy and reliability and supports TALI integration to Tekelec IP7 and other TALI compliant products.

History:-	This product began in August 2001.

Status:-	This product is in the Design stage. The product is stalled. If you are interested in this product, hit the mailing list.

Dependencies:-	This product depends upon the OpenSS7 SS7 stack and in particular the SCCP, TCAP, SUA, TUA or TALI components.
