PCA-200E Device Driver

Description: OpenSS7 Product Status Device Driver PCA-200E

Overview:-

The PCA-200E card is a PCI ATM card available from Fore Systems (now Marconi). See the Marconi website for more information on the card.

The PCA-200E device driver would provide the AAL5, SSCOP, and AAL2/AAL3 support for the card. The driver would provide the following interfaces:

Local Management Interface (LMI)
Signalling Link Interface (SLI) for MTP3b
Network Provider Interface (NPI) for AAL5 and SSCOP
Transport Provider Interface (TPI) for AAL5 and SSCOP
Call Control Interface (CCI) for UNI/NNI
Multiplex Interface (MXI)
Channel Interface (CHI)
Media Gateway Interface (MGI)

History:-

Work on the PCA-200E device driver started in January 2001.


Status:-

The PCA-200E device driver is in the Proposal stage.

This component depends on the following interfaces:

Network Provider Interface (NPI) for AAL5 and SSCOP
Transport Provider Interface (TPI) for AAL5 and SSCOP

This device driver is a Linux 2.4.x loadable module and depends on the PCI facilities of the Linux 2.4.x kernel series.
