The Transport Provider Interface (TPI) provides a specification of a protocol independent service interface between a Transport User and a Transport Provider. The Transport Provider Interface (TPI) is implemented and must be tested for conformance for each provided protocol. Protocol interfaces providing the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) service interface are:

strxnet

The strxnet package provides the TPI header files as well as providing an XTI/TLI Library that provides a user-level interface to the TPI service interface for any TPI compliant service provider.

strinet

The strinet package provides the streams_inet.ko driver that provides the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) service interface on a number of protocols, including rawip, UDP, TCP. Conformance to the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) is tested using the following test programs:

• test-inet_raw
• test-inet_udp
• test-inet_tcp

These test programs test the strinet driver for TPI compliance over a number of test suites. Currently the strinet package passes all test cases.

strsctp

The strsctp package provides the streams_sctp.ko driver that provides the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) service interface for the SCTP protocol. Conformance to the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) is tested using the following test programs:

• test-sctp_t

These test programs test the strsctp driver for TPI compliance over a number of test suites. Currently the strsctp package passes all test cases.

strss7

The strss7 package provides the streams_mtp.ko driver that provides the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) service interface for the MTP protocol. Conformance to the Transport Provider Interface (TPI) is tested using the following test programs:

• test-mtp_t

These test programs test the strss7 MTP driver for TPI compliance over a number of test suites. Currently the strss7 package passes all test cases.
