The SSCOP-MCE transport component is an implementation of the Service-Specific Connection
Oriented Protocol for Multi-Cast Environments (SSCOP-MCE) (Q.2111) for both Linux Native and
STREAMS, as well as a STREAMS interface to the Linux Native implementation.
SSCOP-MCE is a fundamental component of the SS7 over IP. SSCOP-MCE runs over UDP or IP modules.
SSCOP-MCE provides three interfaces: an ATM Adaption Layer Interface (AAL), a Network Provider
Interface (NPI) and a Transport Provider Interface (TPI).
SSCOP-MCE Linux Native provides a socket interface.
SSCOP-MCE components interface directly to Linux NET4 IP and UDP implementations.

The Linux Native release of SCCOP-MCE is in the Proposal stage.
The STREAMS release of SSCOP-MCE is in the Coding stage.
The STREAMS TPI interface to SSCOP-MCE Linux Native releas of SCCOP-MCE is in the
Proposal stage.

The SSCOP-MCE transport is an integral part of the OpenSS7 Transport stacks and provides
transport to the OpenSS7 SIGTRAN stack. It can be found in the sscop sub-directory in the strss7 release
code.
The SSCOP-MCE component is not yet available. Watch this status page for more
