| STREAMS Channels (strchan) ReleaseDescription: OpenSS7 Public Release Packages strchan.The strchan package has long been incorporated into the openss7 package (since 2009). This information is here only for historical purposes. See the release of the openss7 package instead. Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS Channels providing multiplex and channel drivers for TDM cards supported by OpenSS7. This package provides an mx multiplex driver for the V401P card and other supported TDM cards. It also provides a ch channel module, a cd communications device module providing HDLC and SS7 DAEDR/DAEDT, as well as LAPB, LAPF, LAPD, LAPM modules that can be pushed over cd streams. Also planned is a zaptel multiplexing driver that will permit OpenSS7 drivers to be used with zaptel and PBX systems using the zaptel driver such as Asterisk, Yate, OpenPBX, FreePBX, etc. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package. Following are releases of the strchan package. The package release is available in a number of forms.
