| openss7 1.1.1 2009-09-01 ReleasedDescription: OpenSS7 Old News.Approved for Immediate Release Sep 1, 2009 (Edmonton, Alberta -- Sep 1, 2009) OpenSS7 today announced Release 1.1.1.20090901 of the openss7 package. This is the OpenSS7 package. It consists of a master package and all of the former sub-packages. This is now the only package released for OpenSS7. The OpenSS7 package contains: This is the second release of the combined OpenSS7 master package. See README in the release for a listing of the replaced sub-packages. Most of the sub-packages replaced by this release were production grade for Linux Fast-STREAMS at the time of release. All existing validation test suites run clean on supported distributions and architectures. OpenSS7 no longer releases a master package and independent sub-packages. All pertinent sub-packages were combined in to a single release tarball. This was done because many package managers (e.g. yum and apt) cannot handle complex kernel-versioned dependencies between sub-packages. This release provides support for recent distributions and tool chains. Major features since the last public release are as follows: This is a public stable production grade release of the package: it deprecates previous releases. Please upgrade to the current release before reporting bugs.
As with other OpenSS7 releases, this release configures, compiles, installs and builds RPMs, DEBs, PKGs and TXZs for a wide range of Linux 2.4, 2.6 and 3.x RPM-, DPKG-, PKGBUILD- and SLAPT-based distributions, and can be used on production kernels without patching or recompiling the kernel. This package is publicly released under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL) Version 3. The release is available as an autoconf tarball, SRPM, DSC, and set of binary RPMs, DEBs, PKGs, and TXZs. See the downloads page for the autoconf tarballs, SRPMs, DSCs, PKGBUILDs and SLAPTs. See the openss7 package page for tarballs, SRPMs, DSCs, PKGBUILDs, SLAPTs, and binary RPMs, DEBs, PKGs and TXZs. See ChangeLog and NEWS in the release, or Release Notes in the manual, for more information. Also, see the openss7.pdf manual in the release (also in html).
